Many religions think that other beliefs are just paganism because the people have another ideas and other points of view. The other religions can be dead (extinct) because in time antire societies changed their belief, their practices, their traditions and what people were usually doing in life. The time changes about everthing, even the time itself is changing because we are moving faster and time dilatation is real, so what is modern paganism?
In this lecture the professor Ronald Hutton is speaking about that for the Gresham College and how the paganism relates to witchcraft, Druidry and other phenomena. The lecture is a live-stream and in time an edited version of the lecture will be uploaded on the Youtube channel. This lecture is designed to answer the question in the title, and in doing so it provide an overview of the different traditions that make up Paganism today.
The lecture shows what they have in common and what makes each one unique, so listen / wach it carefully because it suggests the ways in which Paganism differs from other religious traditions and what it has especially to offer the modern world.
The also addresses the question of its relationship with ancient paganism. In the farther future all the current religion will be ancient paganism and they will all be replaced with something else - don't ask me what because I don't know, I only understand the replacement mechanism and how time changes everything. They all pass, the good things and the bad things, so keep living the best way you can.
