Retired Windows developer Dave Plummer explains the Windows TPM Trap that is rendering certain computers obsolete. Can I mark myself safe and protected from this, from not having to throw away my PC because of TPM? My last Windows was an XP, I used it until it's end of time and I have not been using Microsoft products since - an interesting number of years.

And my computers, one of being an 11 years old one, are still more protected from viruses and mallware than Windows. Of course, they are not completely protected because nobody is, but with the right education (do not click links / do not download files you don't know and trust) they are pretty safe. There are always some problems, as with each operating system, but usually they are small problems. In the last decade the bigger problems can be counted using the fingers in one hand.
