When Fedora updated from 37 to 38 Gnome also updated from 43 to 44. But when your extensions are set only for 43 they will appear outdated in the extensions list. There is a temporary fix for this, and you can still use them with a small change in the code. When the developers will update the code the files are overwrriten following the update in your system.

A few hours ago I've updated Fedora 37 to 38, both in the main system and a virtual machine I am using, and after update the VM was not starting. The reason was the audio driver and the log message was the following:

I tried cloning a Virtual Machine (VM) in Gnome-Boxes but at some point (about halfway through) I decided to close Gnome-Boxes because I wanted to cancel the cloning but couldn't find a button to do so. When I tried reopening the application, it wouldn't open. In the terminal running gnome-boxes it said "segmentation fault (core dumped)".

Money is a necessity when you travel in other countries or other continents just like air, water and food. Many travellers, especially those flying long distance and landing in a foreign country at weird hours (late in the night or early in the morning) when most of the banks and currency exchange desks are closed prefer to acquire a small amount of a specific foreign currency before they depart on a trip instead of searching some non stop  currency exchange desks on site. Having the local equivalent of 100 euros in your pocket is usually enough to pay for a cab or something else to get to your destination, without (usually) any problem.

As you already know, Google Picasa 3 is photography software which includes a variety of options: photo editing, slideshow, screensaver and others.

It's a little hard to start this subject because it's so obvious that are "tons" of free software on various websites on the internet and there are a lot of people all over the world that are using them.

There are some information about the remote desktop software for some operating systems that are useful in order to connect from your mobile devices to your computer even you and your PC are in different parts of the world.

I am sure I don't have to mention the importance of the passwords in the digital world of the internet: we all use them to protect our accounts (most common the emails accounts, but also the accounts that grants us acces to different websites, administrator sections, protected files and so on) from unwanted intruders of any kind. And you want to keep people out of your business, even from accidentaly acces and from your best friends... you can never know what they can do, even by mistake.

If programming languages were religions...

C would be Judaism - it's old and restrictive, but most of the world is familiar with its laws and respects them. The catch is, you can't convert into it - you're either into it from the start, or you will think that it's insanity. Also, when things go wrong, many people are willing to blame the problems of the world on it.

The debate about open source software versus licensed software is so old that I don't think I can bring something new and relevant to that. It has been said almost anything that could be said and both side has it's "fanatics" that are sure that their way is the best way to do.
