There are some information about the remote desktop software for some operating systems that are useful in order to connect from your mobile devices to your computer even you and your PC are in different parts of the world.
TeamViewer (for Mac, Linux, Android, Java, iOS, Blackberry, Windows, Windows mobile)
One of the well known remote desktop software is TeamViewer. It offers free and paid account for remotely controlling any personal computer, but it's free for all non commercial users. There is available a portable application you can carry around on a drive and use it whenever is necessary. TeamViewer does not offer browser based remote control, it's actually a small utility (with its utilities) to connect between computers.
