Widespread IT outage impacts airlines, banks, July 2024

I have a friend that had to fly from Romania to Germany with his daughter last night around 5 A.M. local Romanian time. This morning I kept hearing that a series of technical glitches disrupted services at airlines, banks and the London Stock Exchange on Friday about the same time, an unusual cascade of failures that erupted from the US to Asia after Microsoft Corp. reported an outage across its online services. Kriti Gupta, Anna Edwards and Guy Johnson report.

No news from my friend about that for the moment. The nes will come probably later this day when my friend will tell me they could fly to Germany or that they remained blocked in Cluj Napoca but those cascade of failures still remains a problem for travelers, businesses or people using Windows in general. I cam mark myself safe from that: I have been using Linux for more that 10 years and I was sleeping at that particular early hour. No Operating System is free of problems so I am bragging with Linux because the current Windows problems, I am just to think it for yourself. If you still love Windows and you believe it useful for you and your activities then continue use it, but you have options if this kind of issues continue. Linux is a better option than Windows and macOS for me, only time will tell if that's also correct for you.
