Movies

Churchill (2017)

This should be interesting to watch: a ticking-clock thriller following Winston Churchill in the 24 hours before D-Day (the day Normandy was invaded by the allies in the second world war). The movie will be in cinemas next month.

What about the District 9 sequel?

I am expecting a sequel to District 9 for some time, almost a decade these days, but it seems I am expecting for nothing. There is no idea how to continue the story, so why don't start writing down some ideas, maybe someone will pick them up and will start developing them?

Kingsman: The golden circle (2017)

When the Kingsman headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, their journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the US called Statesman, dating back to the day they were both founded. In a new adventure that tests their agents' strength and wits to the limit, these two elite secret organizations band together to defeat a ruthless common enemy, in order to save the world, something that's becoming a bit of a habit for Eggsy.

Thor: Ragnarok (2017)

Thor and Hulk are returning this October in cinemas with a new gig: Thor must face the Hulk in a gladiator match and save his people from the ruthless Hela. The shadow effect (2017)

What's real and what's dream? You may not find the truth very easy, but one thing is sure: once you remember, you will never forget.

Short science-fiction film: Love, lots of It

Just an interesting short film by Rob Feld: a woman arrives on a barren highway where a mysterious man waits, as he always has. He has things to offer, and she has things to trade, but what to choose?

What would you choose?

The Handmaid’s Tale (2017)

Do you still think that the future looks and souds good? Well, you may change your mind while wathing this series set in a dystopian future: a woman is forced to live as a concubine under a fundamentalist theocratic dictatorship.

War for the Planet of the Apes (2017)

I've watched the movies released a few years ago, and I am interested to find out how the story continues (the special effects should be interesting): after the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind.

It (2017)

In the small town of Derry, Maine, the local kids are disappearing one by one, leaving behind torn body parts / remains. Short science-fiction film: Caleb

This possible future of bio-printing looks quite interesting: Filmmakers Amanda Mesaikos and Susanne Aichele have written and directed a short film about a nine-year-old boy who 3D prints a clone of himself to have a friend. They would have the same memories, the same features and the same experiences.

Midnight, Texas (2016)

Midnight, Texas, seems to be the place any special person should be: it's a safe haven for those who are different, but with the presence of outsiders, the residents band together and form a strong and unlikely family.

Voice from the Stone (2017)

After Game of Thrones and Terminator Genisys, Emilia Clarke returns in a horror movies (available in cinemas next month): set in 1950s Tuscany, Voice from the Stone is the haunting and suspenseful story of Verena, a solemn nurse drawn to aid a young boy who has fallen silent since the sudden passing of his mother.

Deadpool 2 (2018) No good deed

Wade returs as Deadpool on the big screens about one year from now (beginning of March next year) and it seems to be as as goofy as usual.

Kong: Skull Island (2017)

Ok, another King Kong movies is getting into the cinemas next months, and The Guy is playing Gorrilas with helicopters instead of bananas. This should be so cute... especially considering who is playing the humans from a team of explorers and soldiers travel to an uncharted island in the Pacific, unaware that they are crossing into the domain of monsters, including the mythic Kong.

Short science-fiction film: Time trap

Stranded in space, not in time...

It's not a new science fiction short film, but it's still interesting to watch: after losing control of his engines, bumbling spaceman Fripp finds himself at the mercy of his malfunctioning spaceship. A thrilling descent through an asteroid belt ensues, after which the robot-alien finds himself marooned on a post-apocalyptic Earth. Without a working spacecraft, the interstellar time-traveler must dip into the dead planet's history in order to find the items he needs to fix his ship and a way home.

The short film created by Shawn Wang was inspired by the two robot characters, TARS and CASE, from Christopher Nolan’s epic Sci-fi feature Interstellar. Websites are considered visual brands for any person, entity, product or service. They are a way to show to the entire world (or, at least, to the targeted niche) what someone is doing during this period, what you sell or what you offer now. The first step is establishing the strategy for the following months or years - that's as important as the design and site itself.
