Short science-fiction film: Deep sleep

Sleep is necessary, but too much sleep is bad. "Deep sleep" is a science-fiction thriller following a teenager addicted to sleep (that's called idiopathic hypersomnia) who is in search for the answers to his condition: Derek Harper lives in a rundown apartment while working at a late-night café for free coffee to keep his life somewhat moving. His one and only friend, Hay Tyler, helps him find the answers.

Written, directed and edited by Will Jacobs. Cast: Will Jacobs, Bryson Maddock, Jesse Larsh, Aaron Roos, Jack Friedrich and Pauline Parkhurst. Shot by Jack Salmon.

A dog's purpose (2017)

What's the purpose of you dog? Do you know it? Maybe you'll go to this movie (with a lot of napkins to wipe your tears) next year, in January, to find out how a dog looks to discover his purpose in life over the course of several lifetimes and owners. The story is soulful and surprising.

Short science-fiction film: Sylus

If the machines would rise, how would they do it? What would be the spark that starts the fighting? On the run from an outraged human race, two war-torn androids cross paths revealing their true intentions - for better or for worse.

Starring: Kyle Butenhoff (Sylus) and Evan Reuben (Darwin). Directed and edited by Michael Overton. Produced by Matthew Ramey.

Short science-fiction film: Cycle

An interesting short film written and directed by Ed Stahr: two men find themselves stuck in a Cycle of their own creation. And there is no way out of that. Starring Chris Greene and Miles Berman.

Resident Evil: The final chapter (2017)

Ok, ok, the Resident Evil series is approaching fast to an end: the movie written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson will be in cinemas starting January 2017.

Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, humanity is on its last legs in Washington D.C

Short science-fiction film: Saurora

Pavel Siska's debut science-fiction short film using free and open-source tools: an underwater rescue mission on a remote planet centered around two co-workers in heavy submersible suits takes shortly an unplanned course.

Cast: Travis Work (Diver / Operator), Robert Zapf (Diver).

Short science-fiction film: Ouroboros

Usually, the Ouroboros is an ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon eating its own tail and it represents the perpetual cyclic renewal of life and infinity, the concept of eternity and the eternal return, and represents the cycle of life, death and rebirth, leading to immortality, as in the Phoenix bird. The term originates from within Greek language: oura means tail, boros meaning eating, thus he who eats the tail.

This time, in this short science fiction film winner of Best Arizona Short (2015 Phoenix Film Festival), the term is used when time travel and parallel time lines are involved.

Ben-Hur (2016)

Soon, young padawan, soon. Only 2 weeks left until the movie hits the cinemas, in 3D. You know about the epic story of Judah Ben-Hur, right? About the prince falsely accused of treason by his adopted brother, an officer in the Roman army. After years at sea, Judah returns to his homeland to seek revenge, but finds redemption.

Short science-fiction film: Orb

Multivers is a concept of parallel Universes where there are other worlds, other history and other rules.

Orb an original science fiction film created by the TheThreeLancers, and it's part of the RGBw series of films - it takes place in a parallel universe to our own: in the year 2049 an alien force arrives defeating the United Nations in less than 24 hours. The film follows the story of Max and Tucker as they struggle against the orbs.

Hacksaw Ridge (2016)

This drama movie is inspired from real facts and it's going to be in cinemas in November 2016. A big step forward for Andrew Garfield since the Spider-man movies: WWII American Army Medic Desmond T. Doss, who served during the Battle of Okinawa, refuses to kill people and becomes the first Conscientious Objector in American history to be awarded the Medal of Honor.

Short science-fiction film: In sight

An interesting fantastic sci-fi short film about a young woman discovers her true origins by viewing her father’s memories in a world where memories can be digitally recorded and replayed.

The girl on the train (2016)

The movie is based on Paula Hawkins’ bestselling novel, adapted for the screen by Erin Cressida Wilson and Taylor. The story of Rachel Watson's life post-divorce will be in cinemas 7 October 2016: every day, she takes the train in to work in London and every time she passes by her old house, where she lived in with her husband. He still lives there, with his new wife and child.

Short science-fiction film: The signal

An interesting short science fiction film that happens in 2046, after the energy crisis and all the fights that broke all over the world.

A new energy source, called The Signal, was created to solve the world's energy crisis. It is believed to have deadly side effects. When The Signal's inventor chooses to help a girl warn the public, he gains an unlikely ally to save the world from his own creation.

Short science-fiction film: AdAstra

Sometimes a journey starts with just a dream, and sometimes the Icarus myth becomes real, and the wings are getting melted by the Sun.

Westworld (2016)

The last science fiction western movie I've watch is Cowboys and aliens. It was nice, but I thinks this HBO series is (at least) a little better than that movie. Westworld is a series inspired by the 1973 film of the same title written by Michael Crichton about a futuristic theme park populated by artificial beings.

Short science-fiction film: ALEKTO

An interesting German short film by the talented Michael Mehring and Thomas Kaufmann. Alekto is a science fiction which invokes questions about conspiracy theories and the entire evolution of Man.

Morgan (2016)

Well... this horror science fiction movie looks promising: a corporate risk-management consultant has to decide and determine whether or not to terminate an artificial being's life that was made in a laboratory environment. The movie will be in cinemas in September 2016.

Short science-fiction film: 6EQUJ5

Ok, today we'll stay more than a little with the aliens and their messages and for a short film written and directed by Trevor Brymer: in 1977 S.E.T.I (the search for extra terrestrial intelligence) detected a strong narrow band signal, possibly from deep space, that looked exactly like what they were looking for, it became known as the WOW! signal.

Equity (2016)

This should be the first female-driven Wall Street film, one that follows a senior investment banker who is threatened by a financial scandal and must untangle a web of corruption. It's not The wolf of the Wall Street, but if next month you will want to hide from the heat inside the cinema go to this movie.

Marauders (2016)

Ok, this should be interesting: an untraceable group of elite bank robbers is chased by a suicidal FBI Agent who uncovers a deeper purpose behind the robbery-homicides. The movie will be in cinemas next month.

Websites are considered visual brands for any person, entity, product or service. They are a way to show to the entire world (or, at least, to the targeted niche) what someone is doing during this period, what you sell or what you offer now. The first step is establishing the strategy for the following months or years - that's as important as the design and site itself.
