From the creators of the hit BBC comedy series Outnumbered (this story of this movie is written and directed by Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin), What we did on our holiday is a heart-warming, uplifting comedy for all the family. It will hit the cinemas in 26 September 2014 (UK), so you have enought time to get your own stories about your summer holidays.
In this one Doug (Doctor Who's David Tennant) and Abi (Rosamund Pike) and their three children travel to the Scottish Highlands for Doug's father Gordie's (Billy Connolly) birthday party. It's soon clear that when it comes to keeping a secret under wraps from the rest of the family, their children are their biggest liability... The first trailer is narrated by Smalldridge, and it shows the bickering family en-route to the Highlands. So, what exactly did they learn on their holiday? You have to pretend to enjoy yourself, you should always make yourself sound important, and, best of all, you can get away with pretty much anything.
Cast: Rosamund Pike (Abi), David Tennant (Doug), Billy Connolly (Gordy McLeod), Celia Imrie, Ben Miller (Gavin McLeod), Emilia Jones (Lottie McLeod), Annette Crosbie, Amelia Bullmore, Alexia Barlier (Dupré, Françoise), Bobby Smalldridge (Mickey McLeod), Ben Presley (PC McLuhan), Amanda Marment (Journalistic Photographer), Imogen Toner (Reporter), Eben Young, Lewis Davie (Kenneth).
