New report says taxing extreme wealth has positive results

Taxing extreme wealth is not a bad idea, with the condition the money and benefiths like better health and better services will go to people. Governments across the world are strapped for cash and looking for ways to support the ever-growing costs of defense or tackling climate change, and Deutsche Welle is telling us that a new report from the campaign group "Tax Justice Network" says the solution is to levy a tax on the wealthiest individuals.

I can't say I am a rich person but I have enough money to live well, and more money won't help me. I don't mind the idea of taxing me for the poor to live better and have a better education, and this is a part the education that each person should get.

Coming bad to the subject, critics say it's easier said than done – yet some of the world’s billionaires themselves are demanding they pay more tax. Deutsche Welle reporters spoke to DW Business correspondent Emily Leshner.
