
A federal appeals court was set to say whether or not they uphold an appeal by TikTok over a USA law, which demands the social media app is sold by its Chinese parent company ByteDance. The lawmakers fear the Chinese government could force ByteDance to hand over data about TikTok's 170 million USA users, and TikTok insists it would not provide foreign user data to the Chinese government.
A social media expert explained BBC what people to expect. From my point of view I would ban TikTok in Europe and USA because I don't like it and there are already proof that can be used for bad things. If other parts of the world also want to ban it they can do it, I don't mind.
