The series seems to be interesting enough and funny enough to watch, but I will have to wait until 16th of May to check it out. Until then one needs to know that a security android struggles with emotions and free will while balancing dangerous missions and desire for isolation, evading detection of its self-hacking as it finds its place.

The saeries is based on The Murderbot Diaries, a science fiction series by American author Martha Wells, published by Tor Books. The series is told from the perspective of the titular cyborg guard, a SecUnit owned by a futuristic megacorporation. In this high-tech future they are speaking about, a rogue security robot (Alexander Skarsgård in the Apple series) secretly gains free will. To continue tostay hidden, it reluctantly joins a new mission protecting scientists on a dangerous planet… even though it just wants to binge soap operas.

The series was created by Chris Weitz and Paul Weitz and the first season has 10 episodes.
