I've started practicing Kendo late, when I was 23 years old, but I am still practicing it almost 23 years later. I haven't worked with Japaneze children (they start it when they are about 6 years old) when practicing Kendo but I could see the good results they are getting in time and I can easily recommend it for the children everywhere for several reasons like discipline, training, speed,, the respect they are learning while practicing and so on.

And for the moment, before you start practicing Kendo, you can watch a mini documentary about the different faces of Kendo in Japan. The video was shot in various places within Okayama, Japan.

The people making and uploading it had big shout out to everyone who helped, including the people of Kenshinkan Dojo, Okayama Science University (Thanks Kawashima Sensei!), and the Kibi Youth Kendo Organization (Shout out to Taeko!).
