When I first hear about Constantine I thought about the movie with Keanu Reeves and Rachel Weisz I used to watch a few years ago... and I was not too wrong: this NBC series is based on the same Hellblazer comic book by Jamie Delano and Garth Ennis.

No surprise that the ideea is similar: a man struggling with his faith is haunted by the sins of his past but is suddenly thrust into the role of defending humanity from the gathering forces of darkness.

Watching the trailer I could not stop remembering the series Supernatural... after so many years of whatching that (it's the ninth year of the show heading to the tenth) the Universe of the new series will be... familiar.

Directed by Neil Marshall, writing credits: Daniel Cerone (creator), David S. Goyer and Alan Moore (character: John Constantine, uncredited).
