Any business should pay attention to 2 subjects: money and people. The business most probably won't please all people and it won't get all the money in the world so the balance betweeen those 2 subjects should be the most important thing. Too many upset people or getting upset the wrong people will get the business less money or they will make it fail. Too few money will get you problems and a lazy / bad service or product, so people will be upset. Wanting too many will push a lots of ads in your videos (I am using Youtube as example) and people will be annoyed in time. So the balance is important and Youtube / Google / Alphabet does not have it - they are getting lots of money but many people are annoyed or even angry.
I don't know how this is going to end. No company is forever and Google / Alphabet will crash one day. I have no idea if that day is going to be tomorrow or 100 years from now but that day will come. That crash may change the world in matter of search engine and free services like Youtube, but for the moment you should know you still have options: things like Tor or Vimeo.
