Someone exposed a Windows 2000 machine to internet

Having acces to internet is usefull but it is rather dangerous because there is a lot of viruses and malware online and there are lots of people using the internet for scams, pishing or fraud.

It does not matter which operating system you use because there are viruses and bad behavior for about all comercial operating systems or all of them (I know many things because I am a software engineer working online but I don't know everything and there are new things appearing very day in the world).

The result of a Windows 2000 machine exposed on the internet is described in the video. Windows 2000 is old, about a quarter of century old, and there are a lot of new things online that appeared since it was released but some of the issues can appear on each operating system. Whatever operating system do you use keep it updated and also update all the applications installed on it each time you see an update. A part of the software developer jobs (among others things to do) is to try to avoid all the problems and if he sees a problem he tries to fix it - that means he need to update the product (the website, the application, the extension or the game) and to deliver e new version. Do the same thing with your smartphone (I am thinking about updating it and its applications) because you need to be protected (your life and your money).
