How Ukraine tries to change the battlefield

Russia invaded Ukraine and the war is still going on almost 3 years later, there is an exchange of missle between the two countries, Vladimir Putin is threatening with using nuclear weapons, while the Ukraine tries to change the battlefield. There are two different things about that. Ukraine says it has working anti-drone laser weapon - Larry Friese, Aerospace Engineer, Aerial Information Systems and Deutche Welle reporters are talking about Ukraine’s claim: Can the country produce a laser weapon? How would it work?

This week, the commander of Ukraine's drone forces revealed that they possess a laser weapon that can shoot down airborne targets more than 2 kilometres away. According to experts, such a weapon could be effective against low-flying drones like the Iranian Shahed-136 that Russia uses in its war against Ukraine.

Meantime, as Russia's war against Ukraine approaches its third anniversary in about three months, Kyiv has to innovate for its defence in other fields. It's emerging as a testing ground for high-tech, cutting-edge drone warfare. Aerial and sea drones have already destroyed much of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet. But on land, drones are still in their infancy.
