To be very short you need all of them. You need as many as you can get or create yourself.

And they need to be or to look natural. That means people are writing (maybe once or maybe lots of time, maybe one blogger or 1 million bloggers) about you and what you are doing on their websites and they may use different anchors. It's not the same to write about websites and programming or books or what I love to do, for example, but you can write a lot about that persons or entity and the website. If you are insisting with the same text as anchor and the same link many of times (more than once or twice) when creating backlinks the alghoritms behind the search engine will understand you are adding them unnatural (because you want it or because you want money) and they will ignore them or you are losing points (rank) from their point of view and they won't show your website or they will bury it on the 100th page in the search results.
