The earliest time measurements were observations of cycles of the natural world, using patterns of changes from day to night and season to season to build calendars. We remember pretty a lot of yesterday and we have good memories from last month or last year, but we still can't remember next minute, next hour or tomorrow because that specific state of matter haven't happened yet. More precise time-keeping eventually came along to put time in more convenient boxes, we all use clocks, and may people have been asking themselves what exactly are we measuring?
The video is a lesson done by Andrew Zimmerman Jones, directed by Nice Shoes, in which Andrew Zimmerman Jones contemplates whether time is something that physically exists or is just in our heads.
