Are Large Language Models conscious?

From a human perspective, human interactions and the interaction with other animals, is hard to be sure for now if the Large Language Models. They may not be at all conscious, they may just be waking up after a long long sleep, so many humans can't be sure. For the moment Artificial Intelligence is pretty good in some domains but they are hallucinating when a person tries to talk with them so it's pretty hard to understand.

The fast answet is no, they are not conscious but this doesn't stop people like Neil deGrasse Tyson and co-hosts Chuck Nice and Gary O’Reilly take their followers deep into the mysteries of consciousness and objective reality, David Chalmers, a philosopher and cognitive scientist and to talk also about Large Language Models.
