Artificial Intelligence, humanity's final invention?

Humans rule Earth without a big competition, thing like bacteria, viruses and fungi do infect us but they are not yet a competition like the ones from The last of us series. But we are about to create something that may change that: our last invention, the most powerful tool, weapon, or maybe even entity: Artificial Super intelligence. The one that is self away anf the one can make us look like worms look to us.

This sounds like science fiction, so let’s start at the beginning. Kurzgesagt–In a nutshell is presenting fast forward the development of the Artificial Intelligence and possible ways how it can evolve. I said evolove because there are some differences between development and evolution - we can set some general fields or the specific fields involved in the required task, but that Intelligence will set the details and the future development.

Meantime, Artificial Intelligence weapons, war and ethics is a very interesting subject related with the first video, and it is the subject of the lecture by Yorick Wilks, Visiting Professor of Artificial Intelligence.

This lecture will explore fully autonomous weapons, the products of Artificial Intelligence technology, and the arguments for and against their use. It will then look at the more complex issues of the ethical role of the state in the protection of its population, and the ethical choices of individuals versus those of corporations, whose role in large-scale military-industrial complexes is crucial. The lecture will also mention the emergence of a form of psychopathology in some weapons producer.
