Chappie (2015)

This trailer reminds me about Robocop movies (in some part) and about a series of movie from 2 decades ago with a funny robot named Johnny Five (in some other part): after being kidnapped by two criminals during birth, Chappie becomes the adopted son in a strange and dysfunctional family. Chappie is preternaturally gifted, one of a kind, a prodigy. He also happens to be a robot.

Release date: March 6, 2015. Every child comes into the world full of promise, and none more so than Chappie: he is gifted, special, a prodigy. Like any child, Chappie will come under the influence of his surroundings – some good, some bad – and he will rely on his heart and soul to find his way in the world and become his own man. But there's one thing that makes Chappie different from anyone else: he is the first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself. His life, his story, will change the way the world looks at robots and humans forever.
